"cannot negotiate TLS with server gmail.com"

Hi,

i'm a new user, and so far could'n get started properly, since this is the message that i get when i try to connect to use (as far as i read google talk account can also be used to get connected). Can anybody tell me what is the problem? Thanks in advance.
